Doug Brown Formalized as CEO of UnTapped All Natural Athletic Fuel Company
All natural athletic fuel company UnTapped based out of Richmond, Vermont, has appointed co-founder Doug Brown as CEO.
Brown co-founded UnTapped in 2013 alongside his brother and sugar maker Roger Brown, professional cyclist Ted King, and entrepreneur Andrew Gardener. Doug and Roger Brown hail from the Cochran skiing family of Richmond, Vermont, where they first began maple sugaring with their cousins.
The new title of CEO is more a formality than a change of duties, as Doug has directed and overseen the day-to-day operations of UnTapped for many years. While Doug leads the way of the still independently-owned UnTapped, the other three co-founders will continue to support the business as members of an advisory board.
“I’m excited to help continue to spread the message of natural fueling that is the basis for everything we do at UnTapped. I’m humbled by the title the board of founders has offered me and look forward to continuing to support the entire UnTapped team.”
