We know, we know, the Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup is so good we just want to slurp it up straight from the packet. But if you can contain yourself to not immediately consume all of it, or hide it behind the old cereal boxes in the back of your pantry from your loved ones, it’s quite stunning in a multitude of everyday goods. From drizzling over your breakfast waffles or oatmeal, to adding a splash to your morning latte, you can really do no wrong.
Here’s how we’ve been ramping up our lives with this oak-y, smooth, sweet syrup:
UnTapped Manhattan Mocktail
1 packet Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
12 oz. sparkling water
Bitters
Orange or lemon rind/peel
Cherry – optional
Pour 12oz. sparkling water or seltzer into a jar or other container. Add one packet of Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple syrup and four hearty shakes of bitters. Stir gently to incorporate the syrup and bitters.
Pour over ice into two glasses and add the twist – garnish with a cherry.
Whipped Cream
Whipped cream just leveled up! Add our limited edition Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup to this perennial favorite topping and thank us later:
Mix 1 oz. (one packet) of Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup to 1 cup of whipping cream. Whip until soft peaks form.
Top your favorite hot drink or dessert and drizzle a little extra syrup on top.
Buttercream Frosting
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
2 packets Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
Pinch of salt
Beat butter until smooth. Add in one cup of sugar at a time, beating well between each addition. Add bourbon packets and pinch of salt and beat for several minutes until fluffy. Top your favorite dessert or eat out of the bowl with a spoon, we won’t judge.
